How did it affect the Himalayans???

This page answers the following question… How did the climb of Mount Everest affect the Himalayans?

Before Sir Edmund Hillary conquered Mount Everest, he had tried to do so two other times before 1953. During this time, he got the chance to meet some of the locals from Nepal (the Sherpas). These people were extremely unwealthy and fighting for their lives, so Sir Edmund Hillary thought he could lend a hand. He created group called “THE HIMALAYAN TRUST” (NZ) in 1960 and they all, including Hillary, got to work building schools, hospitals, bridges, cultural centers, houses, monastries and they planted many seedlings for the growth of trees and flowers. Sir Edmund Hillary did this for the love of the Sherpas that he had recently met and made great friends with. So, how did the climb of Mount Everest from Sir Edmund Hillary, affect the Himalayans? Well, Nepal and the Himalayans became more popular, and is now a huge tourist attraction, with classes of mountain climbing up the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. So, after Sir Edmund Hillary climbed Mount Everest,  many helpful buildings were built, trees and flowers were planted, bridges and roads were built for better transportation and the Himalayans became more publisized and popular, which, overall, protected the culture and beauty of the Himalayans…(and the Himalayans isn’t the cat type, it is a beautiful mountain range in China.)
